Merged summaries can detach claims from the evidence and derivation that support or contradict them.

Maintain claim-level links to source entities and source-generating activities before narrative synthesis. Keep agreement, disagreement and missing evidence explicit. Preserve derivation links through revisions so downstream agents can inspect where each claim came from. Provenance does not establish source trustworthiness; source quality remains a separate evaluation.
